CourseNotes 2.0 for Mac gets Lion support

Dear Panda has released version 2.0 of their CourseNotes (http://www.coursenotesapp.com) note-taking app for the Mac, adding support for Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”). It also adds support for rich text editing

Students can add underlined, bold and italicized text throughout their notes as well as change font sizes to emphasize sections of the text. Along with CourseNotes’ bullet summary mode, students now have a set of tools with which to structure their notes.

Dear Panda today also announced an update to CourseNotes for the iPad, as well as a special offer for educators. Version 3.0 of the iPad app adds the same rich text formatting features found in the Mac app. This not only allows for students on the iPad to take advantage of the same organizational tools found in the Mac version, but also provides syncing of notes between the Mac and the iPad while maintaining all of their formatting.

CourseNotes 2.0 — requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or higher — and sells for US$7.99. It’s available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Education category. Volume discounts are available for educational institutions through Apple’s App Store Volume Purchase Program.
