LifeSize (http://www.lifesize.com), a division of Logitech, has announced that LifeSize ClearSea (formerly Mirial ClearSea), an enterprise-class desktop and mobile video conferencing platform, now supports iOS 5 and will soon feature support for the new iPhone 4S.
Users will be able to instantly connect from any iPhone, including iPhone 4S, to any standards-based video conferencing system, says LifeSize CEO Craig Malloy. Since Logitech’s acquisition of Mirial in July, LifeSize has been working to extend open, interoperable video collaboration solutions to anyone, anywhere, on any device, he adds.
LifeSize offers video calling apps for iOS and Android-based mobile devices from Apple, Dell, Google, HTC, Motorola and Samsung. As a result, LifeSize is now the only vendor in the enterprise video conferencing market to offer natively interoperable video calling from the conference room to the Mac and PC as well as to iOS 5 and a broad range of smartphones and tablets, says Malloy.
LifeSize ClearSea is an enterprise-class client/server solution for desktop and mobile video collaboration. Because it’s open and interoperable, users can connect from their desktops or mobile devices to any H.323 or SIP-based video conferencing system or infrastructure solution in seconds. LifeSize ClearSea Server is available as a hardware appliance or virtual machine software and includes a state-of-the-art HD desktop client for Mac/PC and Android/iOS mobile devices as well as NAT/firewall traversal and multi-party conferencing capability.
LifeSize ClearSea is available globally starting at approximately US$8,000. A free trial of LifeSize ClearSea can be downloaded at: http://www.clearsea.com/download.html .
