Eltima Software has updated Folx (http://mac.eltima.com/download-manager.html), its download manager for Mac OS X, to version 2.0. The upgrade includes innovations in torrent client as well as in Internet download manager functionality, iTunes integration, smart groups, auto-resuming, file prioritization and more.
Folx can download not only common files, but also torrent content. One of the main features of the software is its files management system. Thanks to the new iTunes integration, downloaded music and videos can automatically go to iTunes playlists with the names after the tags assigned to those downloads.
Also Folx 2.0 allows downloading files attached to your RSS feeds. Just add the RSS feed to the app, and you’ll be able to either manually choose the files for download or Folx can download certain attachments automatically according to the parameters you specify. You can, of course, schedule your RSS downloads.
Files management system of Folx was renovated too. Now it also features creation of smart groups that unite certain files according to the chosen criteria. Automatic tagging was added to Folx additionally to manual tagging of downloads.
Folx PRO is available for US$19.95 . It requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
