Perceptive Automation has announced Indigo 5, an update to the company’s intelligent home control server for Mac OS X. It now supports a plug-in API [application programming interface] that gives third party developers the ability to add native device types, trigger events, and actions.
Built-in plug-ins include access to weather data, AV control, and EasyDAQ relay support. Other new features include a new complex condition editor, user interface improvements, and support for new and updated INSTEON devices.
Indigo 5 Pro is available now for US$179.95 and Indigo 5 Lite for $89.95 at the Perceptive Automation website (http://www.perceptiveautomation.com/indigo/index.html). Owners of previous versions of Indigo can get an upgrade discount to Indigo 5. Also available online is a 30-day trial copy of Indigo 5 Pro. Indigo runs on Mac OS X 10.5 or greater.
