After a couple slow weeks, “The MUG Event Calendar” heats up with special guests and outstanding programs.
Jean MacDonald of Smile Software will visit an Illinois group, David Sparks of Mac Power Users will be the guest of honor at a California group, Chuck Joiner of MacVoices will make a virtual visit to a Nevada group and David Shatner of Other World Computing will show off their hardware and services to a Michigan group.
There’s an all-star line-up of presenters on tap for a California Final Cut Pro group, including Mark Spencer of Rippletraining, Kevin Monahan, Philip Hodgetts, Maya Zukerman and Kris Koch. Other topics to be discussed this week include iCloud, eBooks, iLife, Twitter, Facebook and holiday parties.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
