In a note to clients — as reported by “Fortune” — Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty say she thinks Apple will sell 190 million iPhones in 2012. She says this is possible because:

° Based on recent AT&T comments, Apple could ship anywhere from 31 to 36 million iPhones this quarter — as much as 20% higher than the 30 million she’s modeling and about 30% higher than the 28 million Wall Street is forecasting.

° Her research shows that iPhone demand is accelerating. Apple could sell 13 million iPhones in the U.S. and 41 million worldwide next quarter.

When it comes to iPads, she thinks Apple could sell 81 million tablets worldwide next year. Morgan Stanley is modeling 52 million iPads for 2012 — approximately 20 million in the U.S. and 32 million overseas.
