Jonathan Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of industrial design, has received a knighthood. He received a KBE from the Queen of England “for services to design and enterprise,” reports “The Telegraph” (http://macte.ch/HKPy7).
“I am keenly aware that I benefit from a wonderful tradition in the UK of designing and making,” Ive said in regards to the honor. “To be recognized with this honour is absolutely thrilling and I am both humbled and sincerely grateful.”
He began his career with Apple in 1992. Ive has been the chief architect of technology innovation, notes “The Telegraph.”
