Akvis Enhancer 13 adds GPU support

Akvis has updated Akvis Enhancer for Mac OS X and Windows to version 13. The software is designed to let you improve every part of an image and detect detail in dark and light areas. In this version, GPU [graphical processor unit] support for GPU has been added that speeds up image processing.

Also, version 13 adds new presets to all three modes, offers support for DNG files, and other improvements. Akvis Enhancer provides three image processing modes: Improve Detail, Prepress, and Tone Correction.

For a free trial, Akvis (http://www.akvis.com) offers 10 days of fully functional use. Registered users of Versions 10-12 can upgrade to version 13 for free. For owners of older versions: upgrade to version 13 is available for US$29 for any type of license.

Users who tried the previous version of the software and whose version has expired now have an opportunity to test the software again. Akvis Enhancer runs on Mac OS X 10.4-10.7, 32/64 bit. The Akvis Enhancer Home License (plug-in or standalone) sells for $69.
