Apple has released iBooks Author 1.1, an update of Apple’s free tool for creating interactive ebooks. It’s a free download at the Mac App Store.
iBooks Author 1.1 — which requires Mac OS X 10.7 (“Lion”) or higher — adds support for creating ebooks for the high res Retina display of the new iPad that was announced yesterday. The upgrade also improves stability and app performance, according to Apple.
