Apple, Dropbox worked to resolve Apple App Store issue

“CNET” says Apple is reportedly working with Dropbox to resolve an issue that has led to a number of developers’ iOS apps being rejected from the App Store.

The apps, based on the Dropbox software development kit, are apparently being rejected because they contain links to external purchase options. However, that action seems to be in line with Apple’s App Store rules, which prohibit external purchases if there’s not also an option for Apple’s in-app purchases, Steven Musil writes for “CNET.”

Dropbox released a temporary workaround to address the issue this evening that removed the link, and a “better solution” is promised in the next week.
In the meantime, Dropbox is said to be coordinating efforts with Apple, Musil writes. For details go to http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57425736-37/apple-reportedly-working-with-dropbox-on-rejected-apps/?tag=mncol .
