ClearDisk 1.0 for OS X clears useless stuff off your hard disk

Nektony has introduced ClearDisk 1.0, a new Mac OS X utility designed to clear the hard disk of useless files that make Macs run low on disk space. It costs US$1.99 and is available exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category.

ClearDisk analyses the state of particular system folders which tend to clog up. It enables the user to clean up the disk space quickly by removing obsolete files. ClearDisk inspects the file categories that are commonly used for storage of unnecessary stuff on Macs.

The app takes the user through three steps: scan the disk to identify the useless files; select files to be deleted; and remove unnecessary files. It requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher.
