Mac OS X software updates for June 12

Here are the latest incremental updates for Mac OS X apps.

Apple has issued a minor update to iTunes. Version 10.6.3 fixes some bugs. You can obtain it via the Software Updates component of the Mac OS X Systems Preferences app.

AirWatch (http://www.air-watch.com) — which specializes in mobile security, mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM) and mobile content management (MCM) — says its mobile security solution now supports devices running Mac OS X Lion. With this new release, IT administrators can maintain security across both iOS and Lion operating systems to ensure consistent policies and profiles throughout their organization.

Artlantis (http://www.artlantis.com) has revved its self-titled rendering software to version 4.1. Users can now choose to keep the automatic lighting adjustment setting or use a new feature called ISO/Shutter.

Mac OS forge has revved X11 (http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X112.7.2_ — an open-source effort to develop a version of the X.Org X Window System that runs on OS X — to version 2.7.2. The release contains xorg-server 1.12.2 .

Optibrium has updated StarDrop (http://www.optibrium.com/stardrop/) — its suite of software designed to help chemists “deliver optimally balanced, effective drugs” — to version 5.2. The upgrade sports a new plug-in module, FieldAlign, enabling 3D SAR analysis using technology from Cresset. Other modules include predictive ADME models, P450 metabolism prediction, automatic model building and Nova for automatically generating new compound ideas.
