HEX has announced a 15-piece collection of bags and sleeves for laptops and iPads dubbed Academy. The line is designed in reverse grey denim with a contrasting deep-red interior.
Additionally, the Academy collection features two fresh bag silhouettes — the Laptop Duffel and the Convertible Sleeve for the 13-inch MacBook Pro — and even includes a fabric-wrapped iPhone case.
Each bag integrates padded pockets to protect laptops, iPads and iPhones. The exterior of the bags features a wax coating to protect devices from splashes, spills or unexpected rainfall. Another key design in the Academy collection’s messenger and cross body styles is HEX’s patented PadPort, which acts as an iPad bay for easy-access to the screen without having to remove the device from the bag itself, according to Dan Maravilla, co-founder, HEX.
One of the Academy’s star bags, the Laptop Duffel, provides wearers a chic weekender to hold gadgets and belongings in place. Features include padded and microfleece laptop storage, three exterior pockets — one specifically padded and lined to hold a phone — and removable shoulder strap. The other star, the Convertible Sleeve Backpack, features a multi-functional design allowing the bag to transform from sleeve, to handheld, cross-body, and backpack by way of its multi-functional straps.
