Go Independent Records has released Drum Loops HD 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $9.99 app works with GarageBand and other popular digital audio workstations by allowing users to add a drummer to the mix with a copy/paste operation. Drum Loops HD gives users more than 700 drum loops, recorded by Hans Eijkenaar, Holland’s first call session drummer, at Sound Vision Studios in Arnhem.
Apps On The Move has introduced Word Frazzle! 1.0, a word game for iOS. The $0.99 app combines word power with an against-the-clock race to gain points and make strategic use of power-ups. Players are presented with anagrams of varying sizes and try to make as many smaller words as possible before using up all the letters.
Wales Interactive has unveiled Combombo for iOS devices. In the $0.99 game, you take control of Bombo, a top-hat wearing creature of unknown origins and help him rack up mega points in one of four different game modes. The rules are simple. Shoot the Green Orbs to turn them into Red Orbs. The more Red Orbs you have on-screen, the more points you will earn.
Nektony has unveiled 4Glob 1.0, a tool designed to track mobile data usage on the iPad and iPhone. The $0.99 app can monitor 3G/4G mobile communication networks and provides the real-time control on data usage.
Tiny Chocolate Games has debuted Space Girl for iOS. In the $0.99 game, the player flies a spaceship through outer space and underwater worlds, avoiding a variety of dangerous objects such as fire, shattering bottles, multiplying bacteria, and giant planets.
Brandissimo! has published Luna Kettlebottom and the Magic Cauldron Society: Luna Red Riding Hood for iPad. A free eBook for kids 4-8, it’s a modern retelling of the classic Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale.
