Swiss national train operator SBB plans to meet Apple representatives after the tech firm reportedly used SSB’s famous clock design on a new application for the iPad and iPhone, reports “AFP” (http://macte.ch/hhqAz).
The SSB has accused Apple of using their iconic clock in its Clock app for iOS without permission. “There’s been no agreement so far, we’re going to talk about it,” SBB press spokeswoman Patricia Claivaz told “AFP,” adding that the rail firm’s lawyers had requested the meeting.
She dismissed reports that the rail company wants financial compensation from Apple. The railway spokeswoman said, SBB was proud that its Swiss-designed station clock face had been chosen. Claivas says the goal of the upcoming meeting is “drawing up a contract stating where the logo can be used, under what conditions and for how long.”
