Snapheal for Mac OS X gets enhanced plug-in performance, more

Macphun has released Snapheal 1.1, an update of its photo app for Mac OS X (10.6 or later). The new version brings enhanced plug-in performance, faster erasing and improved retouching.

Snapheal performs complex image edits, object cloning, removals and more in a matter of clicks and minutes, according to the folks at Macphun. Its Erasing tool features three different algorithms; each should be used for specific editing purposes. There’s also a Clone&Stamp tool for touch-ups and fixes.

In fact, Snapheal offers 20 different tools, including saturation, gamma, contrast, noise reduction. It also provides: The ability to adjust shadows and highlights; crop and rotate photo; control sharpen; set color temperature; and more.

Snapheal features built in video tutorials. The app handles practically all file formats, including TIFF and RAW; plus, it supports a resolution of up to 32 megapixels. You can import images from Aperture and iPhoto albums plus export the creation to iPhoto, share on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and more.
