TeoreX has announced a new version of PhotoScissors (http://www.photoscissors.com/), an US$19.99 Mac OS X smart tool able to remove unwanted background from photos with literally few mouse gestures. Version 1.1 offers feathering control for maximum smoothness of edges, plus a number of accessibility features.

PhotoScissors detects fore- and background parts of the image and separates one from the other. With version 1.1, feathering radius can be now changed depending on a user´s needs.

Also, a user can select background and foreground areas of the image both on “before” and “after” views. Among other functions featured in the update are the recent file list for instant access to frequently used files, the support for HiDPI and Retina displays, an option to pan the image while holding the Space button and user interface improvements.
