Maintain has served up Cocktail 8.1 (http://cocktail.maintain.se), a new version of its Mac OS X utility that’s compatible with Yosemite. It offers improvements on the “Clear Internet caches” procedure, updated Automator actions, and updated Help files.

Cocktail 8.1 (Yosemite Edition) also adds compatibility with the latest versions of Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, OmniWeb and Opera. Finally, it fixes compatibility issues with Boom.

Cocktail is a general purpose utility for OS X that lets you clean, repair and optimize your Mac. Its features are arranged into five categories that help you manage various aspects of your computer.

Cocktail 8.1 (Yosemite Edition) requires OS X Yosemite to run. Cocktail (Mavericks Edition) for OS X 10.9, Cocktail (Mountain Lion Edition) for OS X 10.8 and Cocktail (Lion Edition) for OS X 10.7 are available for download from the Maintain website.

When unregistered, Cocktail runs in demo mode and will expire after the tenth launch. Registration is US$19 for a single user license or $39 for a family license that covers up to five computers.
