OWC World Computing (www.macsales.com) has announced the Envoy Pro mini, an aluminum, pocket-sized thumb drive with the capability of a full-sized desktop-class SSD.
It’s available now in 120GB and 240GB capacities for US$119 and $199, respectively. A 480GB is in the works and will cost $599.
The Envoy Pro mini achieves sustained transfer speeds up to 433MB/second, making it the perfect portable storage solution for demanding creative production workflows, says Larry O’Connor, founder and CEO of OWC World Computing. For comparison, FireWire 800 transfers at approximately 84MB/second and USB 2.0 at 37MB/second. For more information go to http://tinyurl.com/nkjbyco .
