Bowers & Wilkins has announced the Zeppelin Wireless, a redesign of its Zeppelin speaker system
For the Zeppelin Wireless the material and shape of the subwoofer has been altered with a larger 6.5-inch driver and an “ultra-long” voice coil to allow for deeper bass. It also boasts decoupled double-dome tweeters and FST midrange drivers.
A new reinforced cabinet has been redesigned with a front fascia that’s 50 percent thicker than the previous version. Specially designed glass fibre ribs strengthen the cabinet.
The Zeppelin Wireless has Digital Signal Processing (DSP) that’s purportedly twice as powerful as its predecessor. All inputs are upsampled to 24-bit/192kHz resolution.
The Zeppelin Wireless includes Airplay, Bluetooth aptX and Spotify Connect support. A Control App has also been updated and is available for iOS, Mac O X, Android and Windows systems.
The Zeppelin Wireless is priced at US$699.99. It’s and available online (http://tinyurl.com/p2ytvhw) now and will be in retail locations by Oct. 15.
