Patina is new drawing app for the Mac

Atek has introduced Patina 1.0, a simple drawing application for Mac OS X. According to its developers, it echoes the simplicity of Microsoft Paint, but goes goes further with a more visually appealing interface and additional functionality.

Patina sports large tool buttons and color controls. It allows you to handle basic operations, such as drawing and manipulating shapes, setting and changing colors, moving and resizing objects, and doing annotations.

Patina is offered for free on promotion in the Mac App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/app/patina/id942568098) in the Graphics & Design category through Dec. 9. After this date, the price will be $2.99. Patina requires OS X 10.8 or later.
