Spike Software has announced Audio Switcher 2.5.6 (http://tinyurl.com/zus4ttr), the latest update to its menubar applet utility developed exclusively for Mac OS X.
It enhances the built-in behavior of OS X’s Sound Preferences by allowing you switch audio devices from the menu bar. Audio Switcher also allows you to set up default input/output devices. Version 2.5.6 now lists the name of the input/output source of connected devices instead of Default Output or Built-In Input.
Audio Switcher 2.5.6 costs $4.99 and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category. Current users can receive the free update via the Mac Store.
