Someone should make a carry case for the 24-inch iMac

Someone should make a carry case for the 24-inch iMac (my review of the all-in-one should be coming later this week). After all, it’s only 11.5 millimeters (about .45 inches) thick and weighs less than 10 pounds.

No, you’re not going to be taking the iMac on the road as you would with an iPad or Mac laptop. And the all-in-one is light enough that most folks can, for instance, take it from a home office to a living room with ease. However, there are times when taking the all-in-one on the road would be very convenient.

For example, our family vacations usually involve renting a house on the beach for a week, and we usually drive instead of flying. However, vacation or not, Yours Truly still does his daily Apple World Today duties (you’re welcome). It would be mighty sweet to have my iMac with me to do my daily writing/editing.

And iMac carry cases aren’t unheard of. Companies such as Gator, Viridian, CURMIO, and NSP Cases make them for both the 21.5-inch and 27-inch desktops, so a 24-inch case seems like a no-brainer.

So, case makers, make it happen. And you know who’ll be happy to do the first review.
