Apple’s iPhone sales grow 15.7% year-over-year in Europe

According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics, Xiaomi topped all vendors with 25% market share as European smartphone shipments posted strong growth +14% year-over-year (YoY) to 50 million units. The smartphone market rebound was driven by the continued economic recovery, a healthy demand from consumers with aging devices and appealing value priced 5G devices, adds the research group.

Despite Xiaomi’s success, Apple’s iPhone also had a good year. The tech giant sold 9.6 million smartphones in Europe year-over-year. That’s growth of 15.7%, and places Apple third among European smartphone vendors.

On the other hand, Samsung’s share of the market dropped 7% year-over-year. Still, its sales of 12 million smartphones kept it in second place.
