Apple to open new retail store in Wenzhou, China, on November 4

Apple MixC Wenzhou opens in China on November 4 at 10 a.m. (local time), reports Tabletops.

It’ll become the 46th Apple Store in mainland China, fourth in the Zhejiang province, and the first in Wenzhou. Tabletops says MixC Wenzhou is a large enclosed mall, and Apple will occupy a single-level store on floor L1.

ISP.Page says that in a departure from its usual marketing strategies, Apple has chosen to honor the local culture by incorporating a historic textile printing technique into the storefront. The front opening of the store has been covered with a temporary fabric mural, showcasing the unique “blue chip valerian” technique for which Wenzhou is renowned.

To further celebrate the opening, Apple has released a series of wallpapers featuring designs inspired by the new store’s theme. These wallpapers are now available for download on Apple’s website, allowing Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch users to customize their devices.

By my estimate, with the opening of the store, Apple will have 526 stores across 26 countries and regions worldwide.
