I’m delighted to tell you that SoftPress Systems, creators of Freeway 1.0
for Macintosh, have just announced a major new version of our award-winning
Web authoring tool for designers.

With Freeway 2.0, we’re raising the ceiling for creative Web design. In
response to users’ requests, this eagerly-awaited update includes support
for the most up-to-date and exciting Web publishing standards for
typography and layout, as well as a host of stunning new features and
improvements.

New features include the following:

HTML 4.0 LAYOUT AND CSS
Freeway 2.0 gives Web designers the best layout tools available today, and
supports CSS-2 positioning and typography to give professional-quality,
DTP-style control over Web page design.

NEW ACTIONS TECHNOLOGY
Dynamic, interactive Web sites are a breeze to create, using Freeway’s new
Actions technology to simplify the addition and management of database and
e-commerce integration, Javascript and DHTML behaviors. Using pre-defined
Actions, even novice users can enhance their sites with cutting-edge
technologies or publish data dynamically.

FRAMES, TABLES, FTP UPLOAD AND MORE
In response to user feedback, we have implemented over one hundred new
features and enhancements, ranging from interface enhancements like giving
easier access to Font Sets right through to major new features like
intuitive creation of frames, with seamless in-place editing of source
pages. Freeway 2.0 is faster, smoother to use, and now does much, much
more.

Other new features include: HTML import of existing sites, tables, anchors,
flexible layout, inline items, separate resource folders, PNG Support,
distribute command, and customizable keyboard shortcuts.
