“Owning our own business, I didn’t have time to learn HTML, but I knew a
Web site would be a great way to showcase our hotel,” said Steve Demarest,
owner of Friday’s Historical Inn, a bed and breakfast on Friday Harbor in
the San Juan Islands (http://www.friday-harbor.com/). “PageMill turned out
to be not only easy, but fast. I had our Web site up in a matter of weeks.
Now our Web site brings in at least sixty percent of the Inn’s new
business. This is a phenomenal return on investment, far surpassing any
other form of advertising we’ve tried.”
Adobe PageMill, the world’s best-selling Web-authoring tool for Macintosh
and number two best-selling Web-authoring tool for Windows, joins Adobe’s
category-leading family of complementary products, including Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe PageMaker and Adobe Illustrator software, extending
customers” ability to communicate on the Web and in print. “I need tools
that I can rely on. They need to be powerful and well-integrated,”
explained Jim Spadaccini, multimedia production manager for San Francisco’s
Exploratorium museum Web site, consecutive winner of the Webby Award for
Best Science Web Site in 1996 and 1997. “Portions of the Exploratorium Web
site are time sensitive and require attention to detail. Often we’re
working on deadline and we need to quickly create dozens of complex pages.
The speed and efficiency of Adobe products, including Pagemill and
Photoshop, makes what seems like an impossible job, possible. Our Web team
is a big fan of Adobe products; their versatility and integration have
helped us create much of what you see on our site.”
