Sig Software is proud to announce the release of NameCleaner 2.5, available
both for OS 7/8/9 and as a Carbon application for OS X.
NameCleaner is an industrial-strength utility for the Mac OS to manipulate
file names and types. It is specially designed to help move files to and
from foreign file systems such as MS-DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 95/98/Me,
Windows NT/2000/XP, NetWare and Unix.
Version 2.5 is the 25th release of NameCleaner and the most significant
upgrade in its 8-year life. New features include a regular expression
cleaner, full support for long file names on HFS Plus and UFS volumes,
filters for preparing file names for use under Unix and a contextual menu
module for OS X. Other improvements are detailed in the documentation.
NameCleaner licenses are now available in 3 versions:
* NameCleaner Personal for cleaning files on local and removable disks.
* NameCleaner Network for cleaning files anywhere on the network.
* NameCleaner Administrator which adds scheduling and scriptability.
NameCleaner licenses purchased since March 22nd, 2001 will be upgraded free
to a Network license for NameCleaner 2.5.
