FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“SNAX” 1.2.5 released for Mac OS X
Los Angeles, CA, March 6, 2002 – CocoaTech today announced the online
availability of SNAX 1.2.5 for Mac OS X.
SNAX is popular file browser for Mac OS X which features an easy to use
Aqua graphical user interface, and many additional features not found in
Apple’s Finder. Notable features include: labels, spring loaded folders,
hex viewer, graphics converter, create symbolic links, view invisible
files, copy paths, contextual menus, compress/decompress, secure delete,
create/convert disk images, open in terminal, preview drawer, launch as
root, and more.
“With the release of SNAX, file browsing on a Macintosh is no longer a
function exclusive to Apple’s Finder” said Steve Gehrman, creator of SNAX.
“Our short term goal is to surpass Apple’s Finder in every way: ease of
use, features, quality and performance. After that, we plan to keep adding
killer features until SNAX becomes the ultimate file utility for Mac OS X.”
Development of SNAX began soon after the announcement of Apple’s Mac OS X.
Using Apple’s new Cocoa programming frameworks and tapping the power of Mac
OS X’s unix core, SNAX is on the cutting edge of Macintosh software
development. “We built SNAX using the best technologies offered by Mac OS
X. It’s all about taking the best of unix and the best of Mac OS, and
combining them into one easy to use application.”
Download SNAX now at http://www.cocoatech.com. According to Steve, “SNAX is
a product that must be experienced to appreciate. Like a great automobile,
seeing a list of specs does not compare to taking a test drive. SNAX just
feels right.”
SNAX is being updated approximately every 2 to 3 weeks. Version 1.2.6 is
already in the pipeline, and is really going to blow your mind! Check the
web site frequently so you don’t miss the next release.
SNAX is available for immediate download and is fully functional.
Registering SNAX turns off a periodic “Please Purchase” dialog. A
single-user license costs $30 (U.S.) and can be purchased via Paypal, SWReg
and Kagi. SNAX works on Mac OS X 10.1 and higher. SNAX has been localized
for Japanese, German, Swedish, Norwegian, French, Italian and English.
