In his latest column for Fortune, Stewart Alsop serves up a relatively critical review of Microsoft’s Windows XP, concluding, “I’ve been using the Macintosh more and more at home… Apple is still the same old company. But I’m beginning to think that Apple might actually be able to use such advantages to compete effectively. And I’m beginning to think that Microsoft looks like a company too wedded to past practices to keep up.” Meanwhile, Mark Kellner of The Washington Times abandoned his PC six-weeks ago to use an iMac instead and reports on his positive findings in his most recent column. “I’m moving dangerously close to making a lifetime commitment here — at least for the ‘lifetime’ of my next computer.”
