Automatisering today announced the availability of the first public beta
version of the Troi URL Plug-in for FileMaker Pro 6.
What is Troi URL Plug-in?
Troi URL Plug-in can help you fill in forms on the Internet, all from
FileMaker Pro. It also retrieves data from any HTTP URL.
You can:
-use the POST command to fill in a web form and retrieve the result
directly in FileMaker
-use the GET command to retrieve data
-use a secure connection (HTTPS) using SSL (currently Mac OS only)
Suggested Uses
Troi URL plug-in allows you to:
-fill in forms on web sites or your intranet
-get online data like stock quotes, weather reports, etc.
-automatically add information to listings and online databases
-search the Internet for terms or other specific items (like Sherlock)
The possibilities are only limited by your imagination! We invite you to
test drive the new functions and see what you can do with it!
Pricing & Availability
A fully functional version of Troi URL Plug-in 0.9b1 is available for
downloading at Troi’s Web site at:

Note that this is a beta release, there may still be bugs in this version.
Please be careful, save other work first and test this software using a
test database. This beta version will expire on 24 September 2002.
Troi URL Plug-in 0.9b1 works with FileMaker Pro 6 and FileMaker Pro 5.x.
The plug-in is available for Mac OS 9.0.4 or later, including Mac OS X
(10.1 or later), and for Windows 95/98/Me and NT/2000/XP. The plug-in
should also run without problems on any machine that is able to run
FileMaker Pro 4.0, FileMaker Pro 4.1 and runtimes from FileMaker Developer
Edition 4.0.
