MACWORLD CONFERENCE PROGRAM TO OFFER EXPANDED POWER TOOLS CONFERENCES, MACLABS

Program will provide training on key tools and applications for the Mac

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., November 19, 2002 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer
of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for IT markets around the
globe, today announced enhancements to the Macworld Conference & Expo
conference program for the upcoming event, to be held January 6-10, 2003 at
San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The conference program will feature
brand-new Power Tools Conferences, as well as the San Francisco debut of
the Hands-on MacLabs.

Macworld Conference & Expo offers the nation’s largest technology
conference program, providing in-depth, unbiased Macintosh education and
training for thousands of Mac professionals and enthusiasts. The upcoming
program will feature the industry’s most respected experts sharing their
knowledge on today’s hottest topics.

IDG World Expo has added six new topics to the popular Power Tools
Conferences, which debuted to sold-out audiences at last year’s event in
San Francisco. These conferences provide two days of intense training on
the most popular Mac tools and applications. This year, attendees can
choose to attend Power Tools Conferences on Advanced OS X Concepts &
Administration, Dreamweaver, DVD Studio Pro, FileMaker Pro, Final Cut Pro,
Interactive Solutions, Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), Professional Photoshop and
QuarkXPress.

The upcoming event will also feature the San Francisco debut of the
Hands-on MacLabs, introduced for the first time at Macworld Conference &
Expo/New York 2002. These labs provide hands-on computer training for Mac
users on topics ranging from PDF production to Flash 5 ActionScript to
wireless networks. MacLab attendees are required to bring their laptops to
these sessions, taught by trainers who are experts in their fields.

In addition to the Power Tools Conferences and MacLabs, the Macworld
conference program will also feature one-day Workshops – intensive,
full-day sessions that provide training on the products and technologies
showcased on the exhibit floor. Attendees can also choose to attend a
variety of Macworld/Pro Conference sessions for the professional Macintosh
user or manager, or one of 60 Macworld/Users Conference sessions on topics
such as Mac OS X, making desktop movies, music, photography and more.

Macworld conference sessions will be taught by the industry’s most
respected experts, including author Bob “Dr. Mac” Levitus, author and New
York Times columnist David Pogue, R/Com Networks’ David Barrett, Apple’s
Sal Soghoian, Berklee College of Music’s David Mash, author and Macworld
contributing editor Jim Heid, Against All Odds Productions’ Rick Smolan and
