Salling Software today announced the immediate availability of Sony Ericsson Clicker 1.5, an update to its program that lets users remotely control almost any Mac application from compatible Sony Ericsson mobile phones. Version 1.5 refines the use of AppleScript to build six different kinds of widgets in the phone’s display, and includes enhanced action scripts for iTunes, DVD Player, Keynote, PowerPoint, and the Mac OS X system software. The new version also brings built-in functionality to download new and upgraded action scripts; enhanced proximity sensor functionality; a “Visual” designer to allow users to easily create their own “keypad based” controls; easier installation of 3rd party action scripts by drag-and-drop; and support for simultaneous operation with Apple’s Address Book. The software is priced at US$9.95. Version 1.5 is available as a free update to existing Sony Ericsson Clicker customers.
