highly-regarded founders of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group
(http://developer.postgresql.org/ ), will teach PostgreSQL Bootcamp
February 23-27, 2004 at the Big Nerd Ranch retreat facility outside

PostgreSQL Bootcamp is the most comprehensive class on PostgreSQL
available anywhere. If your organization is interested in moving away

power of PostgreSQL.

The rigorous 5-day course is structured in 23 sessions – half lecture,
half student exercises – covering Administration, Advanced SQL, Writing
Applications, Performance Tuning, and Data Processing Inside the
Database. Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

– Build and install a PostgreSQL server and the client libraries
– Maintain a secure and reliable PostgreSQL server
– Use SQL92 and PostgreSQL-specific SQL extensions to access data
– Create triggers, views, and rules
– Create custom server-side data types and functions using C or pgsql
– Use the libpq and DBI to access the data from your applications
– Optimize the performance of the server for your task
