A news story on Channel 4 in the U.K. last night reported on the issue some users are having with their iPod’s battery. “The iPod, by Apple, can cost anywhere from £250 to £400 pounds – but now some users are finding that replacing the battery is so expensive, it’s not worth the bother,” notes the report. Apple Europe recently said, however, that it plans to offer iPod owners AppleCare packages and a battery replacement program soon. Apple’s iPod AppleCare and US$99 battery replacement service were both announced in November in the United States. Thanks to Andrew johnston for this news tip.
