SQLitePluginPro 1.0 for REALbasic
SAN DIEGO, California (January 28, 2004) – SQLabs is pleased to announce
the official release and immediate availability of SQLitePluginPro 1.0 for
both Windows and Mac.
SQLitePluginPro is a REALbasic database plugin that seamlessly replaces
REALbasic’s built-in database engine. SQLitePluginPro is built on top of
SQLite, an SQL92-compliant, embeddable, stand-alone database library.
SQLite’s on-the-fly indexing and ACID transactions ensure that
SQLitePluginPro databases are both fast and free from corruption. Database
applications recompiled with SQLitePluginPro should see a dramatic increase
in both speed and reliability with only a few changes to source code.
SQLitePluginPro implements REALbasic’s database API, allowing you to use
REALbasic’s built-in database controls and classes, as well as bindings, to
create SQLite database applications. SQLitePluginPro can open and
manipulate existing SQLite databases or create and open new ones.

ly cross-platform. Any database created on a Mac can be opened and
manipulated on Windows, Linux, Solaris, Irix and many others OSes.
Changes since the last beta include:
* Rebuilt with the latest version of SQLite.
* Better integration with the REALbasic IDE.
* Support for SQLabs’ upcoming server product.
* Bug fixes.
An SQLitePluginPro single-user license is $119. Company and redistribution
licenses are also available.
SQLabs also offers SQLitePlugin for users who need a database product for
REALbasic Standard. SQLitePlugin has a very simple API, but is built on top
of the same great SQLite database engine as SQLitePluginPro. A single-user
SQLitePlugin license is $39.
