Wacom today announced price reductions on its line of Cintiq interactive pen displays. Effective immediately, the Cintiq 18SX will be reduced US$1,000 to $2,499 and the Cintiq 15X will be reduced $400 to $1,499. The Cintiq 18SX has an 18.1″ SXGA display (1280 x 1024), while the Cintiq 15X has a 15″ XGA display (1024 x 768). Both products ship with a custom ICC profile to ensure a high level of color accuracy. “Cintiq interactive pen displays combine the advantages of an LCD monitor with the control, comfort, and productivity of Wacom’s patented cordless, battery-free pen tablet technology,” explains Wacom. “By working directly on the screen, users can work with greater natural precision and navigate more quickly.”
