Pixo, a small startup which was sold to Sun Microsystems last year, says that Apple approached them to assist in developing an operating system for the iPod, reports The Salt Lake Tribune. ”We were able to get something running and demonstrate it in a couple of weeks,” said ex-Apple employee and Pixo founder Paul Mercer in the story. Apple refused to comment on the matter, except to say that Pixo “contributed a piece of technology in the iPod’s development.” Link credit to Macworld UK
