Sig Software is proud to announce the release of a new version of
NameCleaner for Mac OS X. NameCleaner is also available for legacy
systems running OS 7, 8 or 9.
NameCleaner is an industrial-strength utility for Macintosh to manipulate
file names and types. It is specially designed to help move files to and
from Windows and Unix. It can fix problematic file names before the
transfer and add Windows extensions based on the Macintosh type of each
file. NameCleaner is very fast and has been extensively field-tested by
tens of thousands of users in some of the world’s biggest companies,
universities and government agencies.
Version 2.5.2 is a major maintenance update. It adds user interface
improvements, better error reporting and documentation, support for
extensions up to 8 characters and more built-in extension mappings.
NameCleaner is available for purchase in three versions, starting at $35
for a Personal license. It costs $69 for a Network license which allows
cleaning of files situated on your network and $139 for an Administrator
license which adds scheduling and scriptable cleaning. A free trial
version is available for download.
