Runtime Revolution Releases Free Arcade Engine 1.5 Update

Improved Support Materials and Tools for RPG, Adventure and Arcade Style Games

Arcade Engine 1.5 for Runtime Revolution, a pure Revolution-based solution
to creating 2D games for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The update is free
for current users of Arcade Engine 1.x.

Arcade Engine incorporates sophisticated, scripted path management graphics
and effects handling to meet the needs of 2D game designers and interactive
animation developers.

The improvements in Arcade Engine 1.5 update include:

– Polygon-to-Polygon collision management for fast and accurate detection
– Line intersection and line segmentation points for map creation for RPG
and similar games
-Point-in-Polygon testing, useful for constraining movement
-Left, right or on-line testing, useful for testing borders and crossing
fence lines
-Interface reworked for ease-of-use
-Improved documentation and example project
