REALVIZ Introduces Stitcher Unlimited 5.5 DS, Including 2-Shot
Fisheye Stitching
Sophia Antipolis, France (November 21, 2006) – REALVIZ, a leader in
image processing software development, is pleased to announce the
availability of Stitcher Unlimited 5.5 DS (“Double Shot”), which
offers the ability to automatically stitch 2-shot fisheye photos.
Stitcher Unlimited DS delivers the most versatile and accessible
solution for a wide variety of industries, for the creation of
stunning panoramas from horizontally and vertically stitched photos,
and fisheye shots. With the new DS (“Double Shot”) extension for
Stitcher 5.5 Unlimited, even 2-shot IPIX style fisheyes can now be
stitched automatically, providing a unique one-stop solution for
anyone working in immersive imaging.
Acknowledged as “the world’s premier image-stitching program” (3D
World Magazine, December 2006), Stitcher is a professional-level
application, used by thousands of professional photographers,
architects, multimedia and 3D artists worldwide, and enables the
creation of superb wide-angle panoramas for the Web, film, print, and
3D. Stitcher is also widely used by post-production professionals for
the creation of 3D environments, matte paintings, reflection maps and
textures for film/television. Stitcher Unlimited, which released in
July of this year, is targeted at professional panorama creators
looking to produce multiple panoramas of the highest quality and with
maximum productivity.
“2-shot fisheye stitching has been one of the main requests from our
users for some time,” explains Dominique Pouliquen, REALVIZ CEO. “Now
finally we are able to offer this capability to these users, as well
as a whole new community of immersive imaging professionals. In
particular those people looking for a new solution to fill the void
left after the removal of IPIX from the playing field. We invite
these new users to experience what remains the ‘must have’
application for the creation of panoramas.”
REALVIZ Stitcher 5.5 Unlimited DS has been developed to meet the
requirements of users working in a wide variety of fields, including:
