Xeric Design, Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of EarthDesk
3.5.5, its award-winning, real-time dynamic desktop map, for
Macintosh OS X.

Version 3.5.5 updates the city database to conform to recent changes
in the start and end dates for Daylight Saving Time in the United
States. This is a free update and recommended for all users.

We would also like to take this opportunity to announce the upcoming
release of EarthDesk 4.0 which is scheduled for introduction at
MacWorld Expo in San Francisco on January 9, 2007. While the exact
features will remain a secret for now, please visit us in booth
number S1338-04, just behind Apple to see EarthDesk 4.0 in action.

Users who purchase EarthDesk 3.5 after December 1, 2006, will receive
a free upgrade to version 4. Upgrade pricing for other users will be
announced upon release.

EarthDesk replaces your static wallpaper with a photo-realistic image
of the Earth showing current sun, moon and city illumination as well
as real-time global cloud coverage (hurricanes, storms, and worldwide
weather systems) on your Macintosh desktop. The software operates
silently in the background, keeping your desktop updated while you
work.

EarthDesk is the only application of its kind to support accurate
moonlight, multiple monitors, eleven different map projections, as
well as political and satellite views.

EarthDesk 3.5.5 requires Mac OS X 10.3 or newer. Single user copies
are available for $19.95. Users of version 1.x or 2.x may upgrade for
$9.95.
