Telestream today announced the availability of Flip4Mac XDCAM Component 2.1. Until now, the component enabled editors to ingest IMX, DV and HDV content directly from Sony’s XDCAM Professional Disc production system into Final Cut Pro 5 application for editing. Version 2.1 adds the ability to also export IMX 30/40/50 media across the entire XDCAM family. “We are pleased to expand Flip4Mac capabilities to provide import and export of MXF media, enabling greater workflow efficiency for Sony XDCAM users as well as our Apple Final Cut Pro customers,” said Barbara DeHart, VP Flip4Mac Products.
