PhoneValet Message Center 5.1 Enhances Auto-Attendant, Improves Email, Adds
to Now Contact Integration
OGDENSBURG, NY and OTTAWA, ON, Mar. 27, 2007 – Parliant Corporation today
began shipping version 5.1 of PhoneValet Message Center, its
multi-award-winning Mac telephony product for small businesses, homes, and
home offices.
PhoneValet’s $169.95 software and hardware platform turns a Mac into a
virtual call center with automated attendant, unlimited voice mail call
tree, call blocking, recording, logging and screening, automated dialing
and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) capabilities. Its patent pending
technology does all this and more with full Address Book integration, using
standard telephone lines — with no need for an expensive phone switch.
PhoneValet 5.1 improves the automated attendant by allowing a user-selected
number of rings to answer on specific lines at specific times of day. After
business hours, a doctor’s office, for example, may wish to answer
immediately to refer a patient to an on-call service. A home business might
configure the auto attendant to answer the office line immediately, while
allowing 5 rings for family members to pick up their line before answering
with the family line’s greetings and mailboxes. By allowing a complete set
of time-of-day, line and ring-based overrides, PhoneValet’s automated
attendant and voice mail is a world class telephone solution customized to
the needs of small businesses.
PhoneValet 5.1 also offers improved integration with Now Update & Contact.
Included AppleScripts enable one-click dialing for numbers in Now Contact.
This complements PhoneValet’s already strong Now Contact integration in
which callers can be looked up in Now’s database, and new call records
automatically added upon incoming calls.
The release also includes improved email integration with next-generation
email services like Google GMail and encrypted SSL services like .Mac and
other advanced email gateways.
PhoneValet 5.1 is a free upgrade for users of 5.0, and retails at $169.95
per line for new users (including software and Parliant’s USB telephone
adapter), available from Parliant’s Web site at www.parliant.com. Users of
previous releases of PhoneValet can upgrade for $39.95 per line. Parliant’s
popular 30/30 program provides a $30 rebate to new PhoneValet users
switching from competing systems (full details available online at
www.parliant.com).
As with all products purchased from Parliant’s Web store, PhoneValet 5.1
comes with a 30-day money-back customer satisfaction guarantee. PhoneValet
5.1 is a Universal Binary, requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 later, QuickTime 6.5 or
later and an available USB port.
