Griffin Technology today announced a new Web-based application that makes it easier to use Griffin’s iTrip family of FM transmitters. SmartScan is the newest iteration of Griffin’s long-standing StationFinder application and the beginning of a new platform on which they’ll develop station-finding technologies. It finds the best frequencies to use when using any of Griffin’s iTrip family of iPod transmitter devices. The application automatically formats the page for your device, including support for Apple’s new iPhone as well as desktop and mobile phone browsers. Users can then identify the clearest frequencies in a given geographic area. Navigation is quick and intuitive; the user only needs to point and click through a simple two-level menu.
