Offenburg, Germany – October 23, 2007 – Pleasant Software releases public
beta of ShowMacster v1.9.
Jealous of Leopard’s iChat Theater, but still using Tiger or Panther? Check
out ShowMacster – media sharing for the rest of us.
ShowMacster is an extension to Apple’s iChat which enables users to stream
pictures, QuickTime movies and live screen captures during a video
conference.
By adding a drawer to the video chat window, it is seamlessly integrated
into iChat. Users can even import a collection of their favorite pictures,
icons or movies to show them instantly. By pressing a button or keyboard
shortcut ShowMacster will switch from the current iSight video stream to
the assigned media.
ShowMacster not only enables users to show slideshows of their pictures or
video clips but also to share their actions on the screen to their opponent.
With ShowMacster’s “Sketchboard” tool users are able to draw right inside
the current streaming picture. Drawings (on a blank sheet or any photo) are
updated live as ShowMacster streams any changes instantly.
ShowMacster includes English, German and French localizations.
New in version 1.9:
– ShowMacster is now capable of sending audio directly to iChat
(Tiger only).
– New Sketchboard drawing tools (Circle, Rectangle, Line).
– New text tool in Sketchboard.
– Option to show mouse position when broadcasting Sketchboard.
– The Sketchboard panel is now resizeable.
– Several other fixes and improvements.
