The FCPUG Network, which produces the SuperMeets along side trade
shows such as Macworld, IBC and NAB, have announced that they will
have a booth on the show floor at the NAB Show in Las Vegas April
20-24, 2009.

The producers have stated that the booth will serve as an extension
of the the Eighth Annual NAB FCPUG SuperMeet, to be held in the
Amazon Ballroom at the Rio Hotel and Casino Las Vegas on Tuesday
night, April 21. Appropriately, they’re calling it the “SuperBooth.”

“We have always wanted space on the NAB show floor, but could never
find the resources or money to afford it,” says Michael Horton,
founder of the LA Final Cut Pro User Group and co-producer of the
SuperMeets. “But this year we have gotten tremendous support from the
community who are donating their time and expertise to make this
booth happen. Our plan is to make the SuperBooth a social gathering
spot for all Final Cut Studio users and Digital moviemakers who find
themselves in need of learning and connecting.”

“With Apple not on the show floor this year it is our hope that the
SuperBooth will fill part of the void,” added Daniel Berube, founder
of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group and co-producer of the
SuperMeets. “We will have something different going on every hour for
all four days of the NAB SHOW. There will be daily “Guru Hour” where
you can get all your Final Cut Studio problems solved by some of the
top FCS experts in the world. Sit or stand awhile to view
presentations of workflow ideas, show and tells, new products, and
much much more. We are just getting started on what to do with this
booth. We are very excited.”

The SuperBooth, (#SL10129) will be located near the Blackmagic Design
booth in the lower-lower South Hall. Agenda for the SuperBooth is
expected to be posted on the SuperMeet web page on April 1. The
Eighth Annual FCPUG SuperMeet is looking to be another sell out
according to the producers.

The SuperMeet will feature user driven presentations from Blackmagic
Design, JVC, Adobe and many others. There will be presentations on
new Final Cut Studio workflow ideas, show and tells, tips and tricks
and a raffle. The final agenda for SuperMeet is expected to be posted
in early April.

Tickets are on sale now online only for US$10.99 each. Daily updates
as well as a link to purchase tickets can be found on the SuperMeet
web page (http://www.lafcpug.org/nab_2009.html).
