Sorenson Media today announced that Sorenson Squeeze 5 is being
shipped with the latest versions of Avid Technology’s
(http://www.avid.com) suite of video editing applications, including
Avid Media Composer (version 3.5), Symphony (version 3.5) and
NewsCutter (version 7.5) software. Sorenson Squeeze 5 enables
independent editors, producers and filmmakers who use Avid video
editing software to deliver video in all of the most popular video
formats with advanced encoding options.
Sorenson Squeeze 5 makes it possible for users to output content in a
wide variety of formats, including Flash, QuickTime, RealMedia,
Windows Media, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. The software can also
encode in HD for MPEG-2, Flash, VC-1, and H.264 formats, says Peter
Csathy, CEO of Sorenson Media.
Through the Avid software interface, video editors are able to send
their video files directly to Sorenson Squeeze 5 for encoding and
compression without having to export intermediate files. The software
allows users to compress and encode multiple files simultaneously,
and advanced pre-processing filters produce higher quality video.
