Tiffen (http://www.tiffen.com) has introduced two new apps for the
iPhone and iPod touch. Cool fx allows the user to select from 172
visual presets that simulate a variety of color and black & white
film looks, diffusion, motion picture film stocks and optical lab
processes.
Cool fx is made up of customizable Black & White, Color, Diffusion,
Grain, and Temperature preset groups. The app complements Tiffen’s
Photo fx software. Cool fx costs US$2.99 and is available at the
Apple App Store.
Photo fx software features 26 filters/effects with slider controls
for a range of custom effects within five different groups and a
range of 27 different film looks. It’s available at the Apple App
Store for $2.99, as well.
