Jim Mitchell has released version 2.6.4 of his Mac OS X maintenance
utility, Yasu (http://jimmitchelldesign.com/projects/yasu/) for Mac
OS X 10.4 and higher. The upgrade is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6
(“Snow Leopard”).
Version 2.6.4 also updates the system cache removal and other
routines for Snow Leopard compatibility. Additionally, there are
other code optimizations for better performance on older machines.
Designed to be a “quick first line of defense for solving Mac OS X
related issues,” Yasu was originally developed with system
administrators who service large groups of workstations in mind,
enabling them to perform a specific group of maintenance tasks
quickly within a few clicks, rather than endlessly typing shell
script commands in the Terminal application, according to Mitchell.
Yasu costs US$3.50, but version 2.6.4 is a free update for registered users.
